Beach Club

On La Peninsula, a two-story stone and wood Beach Club opens directly onto the white sands of Playa Tortuga. The Beach Club’s informally furnished thatched-roof pavilion will offer casually gracious service and fresh cuisine created from locally harvested organic food. The adjacent Recreation Club will offer a Kids’ club pool, tennis courts.

Life on Pearl Island offers a wide range of pursuits to appeal to an array of different tastes. Boating enthusiasts will fall in love with the sailing Mecca of Panama and hopping from island to island, from one deserted beach to another. An unspoiled natural paradise, ideally created for world-class fishing, sailing, snorkeling, and diving expeditions or forest hikes and equestrian adventures. Excursions can be organized to national marine parks and surrounding islands that offer incredible diving and snorkeling experiences.

Enjoy an exceptional biodiversity

Pearl Island’s virgin tropical forest, its lagoons, rivers, and tiny offshore islets are home to 16 species of mammals, and 20 species of lizards and amphibians. As one of the world’s greatest bird sanctuaries, it nurtures over 150 species, including a vast population of migrating pelicans. The ocean surrounding it is home to five species of whales and serves as a rendezvous region for families of humpback whales during the majority of the year that move between Mexico and Panama.

It is an extraordinary sanctuary, a ‘hidden gem’, offering endless information for biologists and archaeologists alike, seeking to better understand the nature and history of the area.

As the third largest island in Las Perlas archipelago, Pearl Island, (geographically named Isla Pedro Gonzalez), is 46 nautical miles south of Panama City.
